Abstract: The Small Phased Array Demonstrator is a radio-telescope developed by the Solar Influences Data analysis Center of the Royal Observatory of Belgium aimed to monitor solar activity in the range of 20 to 80 MHz. Beamforming is accomplished with software-defined radio technology to operate a total of eight array element antennas. First observations show promising results to contribute in understanding the radio solar activity.
