As a part of this program, we utilize the observational facilities in Belgium and India to study eclipsing binary candidates. Eclipsing binary systems offer a great way to calculate precise stellar parameters and measure distances. While close binaries can improve our knowledge of component interaction and orbital period evolution, parameters derived from detached eclipsing binaries are useful for understanding stellar evolution. Currently, we are investigating the eclipsing binary candidates from NASA's Kepler mission. In this talk, I will discuss the results for some of the studied eclipsing binary candidates under ORBIT program. In addition to physical parameters, we also calculated the ages and distances for these systems and compared our results with those of previous surveys. I will also discuss the orbital period evolution of some eclipsing binary candidates for which we are currently gathering data.
