Merging two sides of coronal observations

Shestov, S

Seminar presented at Centre Spatial de Liege on 2023-04-25

Abstract: On 1st of March I started my new position - 50% at Centre Spatial de Liege and 50% at Royal Observatory of Belgium with the focus on the observations of the solar corona. This position is a logical continuation of my work at ROB, where we do mainly data exploitation, and Lebedev Physical Institute (Moscow), where I was working also with the instrumentation. Now my main responsibility is to bridge two sides of coronal physics: building of new instrumentation for coronal observations and analysis of registered data and physics of the solar corona. Or may be I will try to make a bridge between visible light and extreme UV coronal observations? Or may be between imaging and spectroscopic observations? In my talk I will make an overview of instruments and coronal physics problems that I met during my 18.99 year career in the field.
