We use observations of the Solar Orbiter/Extreme Ul- traviolet Imager to reveal the existence of short-period transverse oscillations in two coronal loops. We also show that these short-period transverse oscilla- tions have an energy flux of 6.5 kW m−2 and 2.0 kW m−2, which is more energy flux than the radiative losses from these coronal loops. This is supported by numerical models yielding nearly identical energy density as derived from the observations. Such high energy densities have not yet been observed in coro- nal waves, and this is promising for coronal heating models based on wave damping.
