Abstract: Progress in measurement techniques is essential, particularly in the field of fundamental research in astronomy and astrophysics, but these advances depend above all on the scientific objectives pursued. The astronomy of double stars thus benefits from the new means of investigation implemented for the detection of exoplanets.
