Abstract: Sighting by many Belgian citizens of a very bright point in the sky, on Saturday Sept. 14, 2019 at sunset. Explanations given about the phenomenon, and identification as a high-altitude meteorological sounding-balloon, illuminated by the Sun, that exploded during a serendipitous telescopic observation.
