Abstract: The ionosphere above Europe was monitored in near-real time using the GPS observations of the EUREF Permanent Network from the 25th October 2011 until the 16th May 2022. The ionospheric vertical Total Electron Content (TEC) and its variability were estimated every 15 minutes on a 0.5°x0.5° grid. This service delivered IONEX TEC products https://gnss.be/SpaceWeather/Products/IONEX/ and a web service highlighting the ionospheric activity at https://gnss.be/SpaceWeather/index.php. This dataset is now discontinued and replaced by the European near-real-time ionosphere TEC maps based on multi-GNSS observations, since the 17th May 2025.
