Abstract: A new orbital solution for θ2 Tau, obtained by combining spectroscopy with long-baseline optical interferometry, is presented. Applying the spectra disentangling technique to the data available for the system, the intrinsic component spectra and simultaneously the orbital parameters were accurately determined using, for the first time, the direct measurements of the secondary's radial velocity. The combined spectroscopic-astrometric analysis leads to component masses and the orbital parallax with unprecedented accuracy. Effective temperature and projected rotational velocity were determined from the reconstructed component spectra.
