GeoTalk: A smart way to map earthquake impact

Van Noten, Koen

published in GeoLog | The official blog of the European Geosciences Union, 28 April 2016 (2016)

Abstract: Sara Mynott, one of the EGU's 2016 press assistants, had the opportunity to speak to Koen Van Noten during the EGU2016 General Assembly about his research into how crowdsourcing can be used to find out more about where earthquakes have the biggest impact at the surface. This interview highlights his work at the Royal Observatory of Belgium and shows how the "Did You Feel It?" system of the Seismology-Gravimetry section works.
